General terms of event participation

1. General provisions

1.1 This Agreement sets out the terms and conditions relating to participation in the Game Gang Show organised by Sport Media Focus (the “Organiser”).

1.2 By purchasing a Ticket and entering the Venue, the Participant agrees to the terms and conditions set out below.

1.3 Participants agree to abide by all rules and conditions set by the Organiser.

2. Participation

2.1 The event is aimed at all fans of games and digital entertainment and is open to all age groups. Under 18s are admitted when accompanied by their parents or with their permission.

2.2 Entrants shall only be admitted upon presentation of an appropriate and valid ticket at the entrance to the Venue, which shall be purchased in advance or on the day of the Event.

2.3 The Participant agrees to be searched by a security guard at the entrance in accordance with the provisions and, in the event of possession of life-threatening objects, to have them confiscated and handed over to the competent authorities.

3. Competitions and participation

3.1 When registering at each competition site, the Participant shall enter all the required information necessary to confirm his/her participation and the competition.

3.2 Participants taking part in competitions agree to abide by all the terms and conditions set by the organiser and to behave in accordance with the rules of the relevant competitions.

3.3. Participants agree that all results achieved at the Game Gang Show will be the property of the Organiser and may be used by the Organiser for promotional purposes.

3.4. By entering and participating in each Competition, the Participant authorises the use of personal data as required by law by the promoter or partner of each Competition.

4. Protection of personal data

4.1 The Organiser undertakes to use all personal data provided by the participants of the Event solely for the purposes of organising the Event and to protect all personal data in accordance with applicable law.

4.3 Participants agree that all footage and images taken during the Game Gang Show will be the property of the Organiser and may be used by the Organiser for promotional purposes.

5. Responsibility of the Organiser

5.1 The Organiser accepts no liability for any damage arising out of participation in the Event, unless the damage is caused by the Organiser’s wilful or negligent actions.

5.2 The Organiser accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to the personal belongings of participants.

6. Event cancellation

6.1 The Organiser reserves the right to cancel an Event in the event that the Event cannot take place due to illness, injury, death or any other cause beyond the Organiser’s control.

6.2 In the event of cancellation, the Organiser will refund the entry fee paid to all participants.

7. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

7.1 The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Conditions if necessary to ensure the safety of the Participants.

8. Other provisions

The Organiser accepts no responsibility for any equipment or other property that may be damaged or otherwise change its value during the competition. The Organiser accepts no liability for any loss of revenue.

All participants take responsibility for their actions at the event.

The Organiser may send emails and text and SMS messages to all players who have registered, or have been registered by an authorised person, for an Event until expressly cancelled by the registered player. In the case of automated messages and marketing content, the Organiser will always provide the opportunity to unsubscribe, as well as protect all personal data in accordance with the GDPR.

The Organiser may change the details, timetable, rules and other elements of the tournament without prior notice and shall not be liable for any damages resulting from any such changes. Any changes will be published on the event website.

The organiser may share participants’ and visitors’ contact details with event sponsors and other partners.

The Organiser and all media and other sponsors and partners may publish photographs and other media content from the event on their websites and other media, and all registrants agree to the publication of their image, name and other audio-visual content, without the possibility of cancellation.

By entering, players agree that the winning player of each livestreamed game will be available and technically able to join the livestream and be interviewed via video call after the game. In the event that a player is unwilling to connect to a call, the Organiser reserves the right to reduce the amount of the prize pool by 33% for the first non-compliance and by an additional 33% for any subsequent non-compliance.

All prize money listed under the Tournament Prize are gross figures, excluding applicable duties and taxes, which will be deducted when the funds are transferred to the winners. For cash prizes, this is 25% of the amount required for income tax on the prize income (e.g. if the advertised and published prize is €1000, this is the gross amount of the prize – €250 of which will be paid by the organiser to the state and €750 directly into the individual winner’s account).
